PRESENTATION OF COPIES OF CREDENTIALS TO THE DEPUTY F0REIGN MINISTER OF ARMENIA
His Excellency Ambassador Alie Badara Kamara Presents copies of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia
Monday October 19th 2021.
Sierra Leone’s ambassador to the Islamic republic of Iran, accredited to Armenia, His Excellency Ambassador Alie Badara Kamara, presented copies of his Credentials to the Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gorgyan. Talking about the bilateral relations between the two countries, Ambassador Kamara said Sierra Leone and Armenia have a 2 decades relationship, but he observed that the two nations have not fully explored the strong ties that should exist between them, especially in the area of business opportunities for the benefit of all. Ambassador Alie Badara Kamara said that Sierra Leone is open for business and is seeking serious investors who are ready for business opportunities and to partner in ways that will promote Sierra Leone and Armenia.
The Sierra Leonean ambassador invited the business community to come to Sierra Leone to invest and he encouraged them to meet with other sectors to see how they can be supported while doing business in Sierra Leone and assured them of a good working environment.
Receiving copies of the Credentials, the deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gorgyah said it is a historic moment receiving His Excellency Alie Badara Kamara for the first time visiting their country. He said they are ready to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries. He said the president of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian will be pleased to welcome the ambassador in the presidential palace for the first time.

PRESENTATION OF CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF LEBANON
On Wednesday December 9th 2020, H.E Alie Badara Kamara presented his credentials to the President of the Lebanon Michel Aoun at the presidential palace in Beruit.
Presenting his credentials to President Aoun, Ambassador Kamara conveyed good tidings from President Bio to the People and government of Lebanon. He gave updates on President Bio's Free Quality Education which has already benefited over two million School pupils and continue to play a major role towards improving human capital development. "President Bio is always willing to deepen Sierra Leone’s long lasting bilateral ties with Lebanon which started in the 90’s not overemphasizing the over four hundred Sierra Leoneans aready working in Lebanon re-ecoed Badara Kamara". As a way of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, Kamara said the establishment of a consular office in Lebanon is underway.
President Aoun was pleased and delighted to receive H.E Kamara at his palace and said his country is very committed to the bilateral relations with Sierra Leone. "As a government they have noted a lot of progress in Sierra Leone within a short time, the reason why he is ready to work with Ambassador Kamara and the government of Sierra Leone in different areas of investment and international cooperation". Ambassador Kamara was accompanied by the Honorary Consul Hashim Hashim at the presentation ceremony. The ambassadors of Tunisia, North Korea and Brazil also presented their letters of Credence.


PRESENTATION OF CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN.
On 2nd February 2019, Ambassdor Alie Badara Kamara (left) presented Letters of Credence to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E President Dr. Hassan Rouhani (right). The presentation took place at the Ceremony Hall of the Presidential Palace. Immediately after the presentation, Ambassador Alie Badara held a fruitful meeting with H.E. Dr. Hassan Rouhani in which a fruitful deliberation was made for the development of bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and Iran in various fields.
Meeting with the Security Sector
General Abbas Ibrahim directorate of General Security in Lebanon, say he will make announcement to all Lebanese embassy in the world not to give visas to Sierra Leonans if she is not accompanied by a Lebanese family to work as maid. He made this statement in a conversation meeting with ambassador Alie Badara Kamara where he raised concerns on the illegal traveling of Sierra leoneans to Lebanon which has cost so much problems ie Stranded, Violations to name but a few.



Red Crescent Society boosts COVID 19 fight in Sierra Leone.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society has presented a consignment of PPEs to the Sierra Leonean Embassy in Tehran towards the effort of fighting Covid 19 in Sierra Leone. The gesture is part of Iran's continued quest to strengthen bilateral ties between Sierra Leone and the Islamic Republic.
The items included cartoons of hand sanitizers and a total of about 10, 000 facial masks and other items. Hassan Esfandiar, Deputy Director General International Protocol and Communications of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said the items will help save lives in Sierra Leone. The society is also committed to helping Sierra Leone medical students to train in different types of specializations, Esfandiar continued.
Sierra Leone's Ambassador H.E Alie Badara Kamara acclaimed the Red Crescent Organization for heeding to Sierra Leone's continued call for support. He said he looks forward to more collaborations in other areas like trade and investment, scholarships and business opportunities.


Iran to resume Parliamentary visits to Sierra Leone.
Early this week, In the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Chairperson, IRAN- SIERRA LEONE Parliamentary friendship group AliReza Salimi (MP) has called on Sierra Leone’s ambassador to Iran Allie Badara Kamara to extend invitation to Sierra Leone members of parliament to visit Iran. Even though the two countries share strong bilateral relations, Mr. AliReza Salimi said the legislative bodies in the two countries can achieve a lot by sharing ideas and good practices in Parliament.
He pointed out that the Iranian Parliament have rendered humanitarian assistance to Sierra Leone in the area of health, agriculture, technology amongst others. And now he said Iran wants to expand on Trade, agriculture, Medical facilities and much more for the benefit of the two countries. He said the parliamentary cooperation plays an important role in boosting IRAN and SIERRA LEONE in different areas.
Responding to the call by the Chairperson IRAN- SIERRA LEONE Parliamentary friendship group AliReza Salimi (MP), Ambassador Alie Badara Kamara said he is looking forward to strengthening bilateral relations by exchange of visit by members of parliament of both countries.
Ambassador Kamara said the country is putting systems in place that will ensure good business environment for potential investors.
The parliamentary group of Sierra Leone- Iran friendship group was established on 8th Terms of the Islamic Consultative Assembly were members of the Iranian Parliament visited Sierra Leone and vice-versa.
